In fact, after doing some research, it took me quite some time to find the best coffee in Maui. Lucky for you, this post shouldn’t give you any trouble!
In it, I have compiled 7 of the coziest coffee shops in Lahaina, Maui for you to visit. Each coffee shop is different in its on way, but at the end of the day you get to choose which one sounds right for you.
So, if you’re planning to visit a coffee shop for the first time in Maui, you won’t be disappointed. The cozy coffee shops I have listed only serve the freshest and the best.

VigiLatte Artisan Coffee is a great coffee shop you can visit in Maui! In fact, many people refer to it as a hidden gem in Lahaina since it’s a little kiosk. However, if you go inside, you won’t regret the experience.
From the owner’s artisan point of view, everything inside the shop is creative and customized to his liking. The coffee is rich and smooth and the syrup is even made in house.
In addition, don’t be surprised if watching your coffee being made feels like a show. From the moment of preparation, each coffee is treated like a form of art at the VigiLatte Artisan Coffee.
So, if you’re planning to visit the VigiLatte Artisan Coffee for the first time in Maui, I highly recommend it. The service there is superb and everything in the coffee shop is handmade with care.
Bad Ass Coffee (coffee shops in lahaina)
Bad Ass Coffee is another great coffee shop you can visit in Maui! In fact, the coffee beans used are actually from Kona which could definitely explain why their coffee is rated as one of the best.
In addition to coffee, Bad Ass Coffee also sells a large collection of cigars, sweatshirts and bagged coffee beans too.
So, if you’re planning to visit the Bad Ass Coffee for the first time in Maui, I highly recommend it.
The lattes there are not too sweet and you can even bring home some coffee beans if you’d like too.
However, just be aware that the prices might be a bit expensive.
Drift Coffee (coffee shops in lahaina)

Drift Coffee is another great coffee shop you can visit in Maui! Since it opens at 6am, it’s great for a morning coffee fix. In fact, you’ll even be just as happy to know that the service there is just as colorful as the coffee.
Because… in my opinion, who wants to wake up early for coffee only to be greeted by rude staff.
BEEN THERE, DONE THAT.
So, if you want to have a pleasant experience at a coffee shop, you should definitely check out Drift Coffee.
In fact, since it’s located right in the center of everything, make sure to take your coffee for a walk to Lahaina’s top attractions. These attractions include but are not limited to the Lahaina Harbor and The Banyan Tree.
Hawaiian Village Coffee (coffee shops in lahaina)
Hawaiian Village Coffee is another great coffee shop to visit in Maui! Located in the Ka’anapali area, many people come here for a quick bite in the morning and some coffee. The coffee selections at this shop are also definitely on point along with the hot breakfast sandwiches.
In fact, if you’re lactose intolerant, you won’t have to worry about a thing here. They have different alternative options you can choose from for milk which include but are not limited to macadamia nut and oat milk.
So, if you’re planning to visit Hawaiian Village Coffee for the first time in Maui, I highly recommend it. This shop also has a hometown local atmosphere that you cannot find in any other place.
Cafe Cafe Maui (coffee shops in lahaina)
Cafe Cafe Maui is another great coffee shop to visit in Maui! It’s a great place to go if you’re looking for coffee without all of the fancy syrups, especially if you’re Australian. In fact, in addition to the coffee, this shop is also praised for its breakfast too. They serve different breakfast items that include but are not limited to a Nutella croissant, an English muffin and banana bread.
So, if you’re planning to visit Cafe Cafe Maui for the first time on the island, I highly recommend it. Their outdoor patio is a great place to eat and drink as you enjoy their tropical chill music too.
In fact, if I were you, I would definitely not hesitate to purchase their banana bread or their chai latte at all.
Island Press Coffee (coffee shops in lahaina)
Island Press Coffee is another great coffee shop to visit in Maui! In addition to the amazing coffee, you can even visit this coffee shop for the free Wi-Fi and computers. The computers there however, are available at a price. For 3$ you can use one for 15 minutes or pay $12 for a whole hour.
In fact, if you’re also looking for cheap souvenir coffee beans to take home, don’t forget this place. Although other coffee shops may look like they have the better deal, Island Press Coffee has the best deal to date.
So, if you’re looking to visit Island Press Coffee for the first time in Maui, I highly recommend it.
In fact, the Hawaiian Honey Latte would definitely be my drink of choice!
Mauigrown Coffee Co. Store (coffee shops in lahaina)
The Mauigrown Coffee Co. Store is another great coffee shop to visit in Maui! As a family run business, this coffee shop even gives you the opportunity to ship coffee beans home to anywhere in the U.S.
So, if you’re looking to take some coffee beans home but not carry them, this coffee shop is the place for you! Not only can you order coffee beans for yourself to ship home but you can also ship them to other friends and family members too.
In fact, if you’re not sure of which coffee beans to ship, you’re also welcome to ask for a sample too. The staff there are friendly and helpful so they wouldn’t hesitate to make you one.
Therefore, if you’re looking to visit the Mauigrown Coffee Co. Store for the first time in Maui, I highly recommend it. The coffee there is really great since it’s fresh, tasty and flavorful!
