Moku Roots (vegan restaurants in Maui)

Opened in 2018, Moku Roots is an award-winning vegan restaurant that’s known for serving plant-based wraps, sandwiches, bowls, salads and kombucha. It was started by two friends, Alexa and Erica, back in the day and the restaurant has been going strong ever since.
In fact, in addition to being vegan, the restaurant is also zero waste, farm to table and plant-based. For instance, if you order one of their sandwiches, you’ll noticed that they come wrapped in ti leaves tied with banana-fiber twine. Furthermore, each drink you order is also served to you in a refillable mason jar. So, if you’re planning to visit the Moku Roots in Maui, I highly recommend it. All of their menu ingredients are even harvested from their own farm down the road.
Sprout Vegan Cafe (vegan restaurants in Maui)

Located in the Wailea Gateway Center, Sprout Vegan Cafe is a restaurant that bloomed to popularity after opening in the form of a food truck in 2020. This was around the same time as COVID when health, nutrition, and locally grown foods were in more demand than ever. So, as a result, in just less than a year, the Sprout Vegan Cafe outgrew its little food truck for their brick and mortar location.
Furthermore, in regard to the food, it doesn’t disappoint! The Sprout Vegan Cafe is known for serving plant-based twists for a variety of comfort foods. These comfort foods include but are not limited to poke, sushi, ice cream, and lox toast. So, if you’re planning to visit the Sprout Vegan Cafe in Maui, I highly recommend it. Their menu even spans an array of different cuisines like Thai, Mediterranean, and Mexican.
A’ A Roots (vegan restaurants in Maui)

Known for being health-conscious and eco-friendly, A’ A Roots is a vegan restaurant that proudly serves vegan food that makes you feel good and healthy. In regard to being eco-friendly, A’ A Roots only uses the freshest produce around for their food. In fact, they even strive to skip single-use plastic whenever possible so that you can feel comfortable knowing whatever you order will benefit you and the planet.
In addition, once you step inside the restaurant, get ready to be won over by their homey atmosphere. Inside, they have plush benches that line the wall as well as bistro seating throughout the rest of the place. So, if you’re planning to visit A’ A Roots in Maui, I highly recommend it. Their locally sourced ingredients always shine through their food and they have a grab-and-go cold case available if you’re in a hurry.
That’s a Wrap Cafe (vegan restaurants in Maui)

Located in the Dolphin Plaza Shopping Center, That’s a Wrap Cafe is a vegan restaurant started by Gina and Josh who are a husband and wife duo. Their purpose for starting That’s a Wrap Cafe was to bring healthy and delicious food for people who were on the go. Since then, their purpose is still the same.
So, if you end up ordering at their restaurant, you can eat their fresh and delicious wraps at their tables or on the go. These wraps include but are not limited to Caprese, Honey Girl, Maria, Charlie, JoJo, Yoshi, and GG’s Reuben. Therefore, if you’re planning to visit That’s a Wrap Cafe, I highly recommend it. They’re wraps are typically inexpensive and their hearty bowls are full of fresh ingredients that change on a daily basis.
Therefore, in the owner’s own words, make sure to “Stop by and say hi!”.
Earth Aloha Eats (vegan restaurants in Maui)

Located in both Kahului and Lahaina, Earth Aloha Eats is a plant-based food truck in Maui that was started by Danielle Gosh after becoming a vegan herself. The goal of the restaurant in general is to help spread the vegan mission to assist people with plant-based eating. In addition, Danielle’s mission is also to help spread more love, compassion and peace with Earth Aloha Eats. In fact, since taking over, Danielle has done a remarkable job since Earth Aloha Eats’ debut.
In regard to the food, Earth Aloha Eats’ wide menu focuses on comfort and pub food. These type of food items include but are not limited to burgers, tacos, loaded fries, and rice bowls. So, if you’re planning to visit Earth Aloha Eats in Maui, I highly recommend it. Out of all their menu items, their Pulled Pork Fries, Aloha Burger + Asian Teriyaki Bowl are a hit.
Hempy’s Shake and Wake (vegan restaurants in Maui)

In fact, what makes the restaurant different is exactly what makes it popular. Hawaiians can indeed count on Hempy’s Shake and Wake for a healthier alternative to a traditional diet. In addition to kombucha, Maui Kombucha also offers a wide variety of raw vegan food. This vegan food includes but is not limited to pizza and sandwiches. So, if you’re planning to visit Maui Kombucha for the first time in Maui, I highly recommend it. The restaurant also offers vegan cheesecake as well as other gluten-free options.
Furthermore, if kombucha isn’t your cup of tea, don’t worry. They also have coffee, smoothies, and fresh juices too.
Brekkie Bowls (vegan restaurants in Maui)

Specializing in health-conscious fare, Brekkie Bowls is an organic, vegan food trailer that’s known for its perfect, high-quality acai bowls. It was started by Hollie after she did some serious soul-searching in Maui and the idea weighed on her ever since. She wanted to use Brekkie Bowls as a platform for her to combine her love for fitness, health, vegan food, and making people smile all together.
The acai bowls she makes are also filling and nourishing with vitamins, essential fatty acids and antioxidants. So, if you’re planning to visit Brekkie Bowls for the first time in Maui, I highly recommend it. Their acai bowls will give you a better pick-me-up than a cup of coffee.
