Tuebingen, where I used to be an Au pair, is another beautiful city in Germany you need to visit. It’s not as big as the ones I’ve mentioned before but it has a little small city charm to it. Similar to many small towns in Italy, its beauty lies in its well-preserved old town with its cobbled alleyways, old timbered houses and rippling canals. In fact, while most historical centers in German cities were destroyed in WWII, Tuebingen was lucky enough to have one bomb fall on the city.

Cologne (prettiest cities in germany)
Cologne, in addition, is another beautiful city in Germany you need to visit! Its beauty lies in the gorgeous cathedral that stands by its main train station. In fact, if you were to visit Cologne for the first time by train, it’ll probably be the first thing you see. What might strike you the most though is the architectural layout and design of the cathedral. It’s made up of dominating spires and pinnacles as well as intricate stone carvings at the front of the building.
So, if you’re planning to visit the prettiest cities in Germany, you can’t miss out on Cologne. The cathedral itself is a work of both engineering and artistic grandness and there are plenty of things to do in the city that include but are not limited to a Rhine River Cruise and a Brewery Tour.

There are so many things you can do while you’re there that include but are not limited to a Neckar River Sightseeing Cruise with a Drink and a Walking Tour of the Old Town.
Füssen (prettiest cities in germany)
Füssen is another pretty city in Germany you need to visit! Its beauty lies in the high mountainous peaks that frame the town as well as the idyllic lake landscape that’s 800-1200 meters above sea level. In fact, as someone who has visited this small city as an Au pair in Germany, I will say the most extravagant thing about the town is the fact that it has the closest transportation hub for the Neuschwanstein Castle.
